Medical Providers

Dr. Hicken grew up in Alberta, Canada. He completed his undergraduate degree at BYU, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in French. He returned to Canada for medical school and graduated with his MD in 1996 from the University of Alberta. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Calgary, and subsequently worked in several remote rural communities in Alberta and British Columbia. In 1999, he moved to Kane, Pennsylvania, where he worked in the Emergency Room and in a Family Medicine clinic. In 2002, Dr. Hicken moved to Hillsboro, Oregon, where he has practiced since as a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician.

Jennifer Currie, FNP, has a Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Social Behavior Sciences from Linfield College. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Family Medicine. Jennifer has an interest in preventative health and in optimizing well-being in patients with multiple healthcare needs. She enjoys playing soccer, likes to travel, and spends time gardening and baking. She loves her time with her family, including her 2 dogs and 3 cats.
